Patriarch of the Limbaugh Family …Rush Hudson Limbaugh, Sr. (September 27, 1891 – April 8, 1996) was an American jurist, legislator, and ambassador. His legal career spanned just under eighty years and he argued cases before the Missouri Supreme Court, Internal Revenue Service Appellate Division, Interstate Commerce Commission, and National Labor Relations Board.

Limbaugh was the city attorney for Cape Girardeau, Missouri, from 1917 till 1919 and began his own law firm in 1923. He served in the Missouri State Legislature from 1931 to 1932 and during his service advocated the consolidation of Missouri school districts and the formation of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Limbaugh was President of the Missouri Bar (1955-1956) and also served as an ambassador for the U.S. legal system to India during the 1950s. At the time of his death at age 104, Limbaugh was still a practicing attorney.

In addition to his legal career, Limbaugh was active in civic affairs. He was involved in the early development of Southeast Missouri Hospital, was active with the Boy Scout movement and worked with the Salvation Army for nearly fifty years. In 2007, a new U.S. federal courthouse located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri was named after him.

As a civic leader he was a member of American Legion , VFW, Rotary Club. His Dad had deep appreciation for the inspirational power of words, he addressed these and other local groups on the Evils of Communism.

Rush's Dad's forte was lively dinner table discussions on his unshakable political beliefs, and the power of leadership. All during his up bring Rush's dad would give a running commentary every night on the Evening News. Rush's father trained Rush and his brother both in politics, patriotism, and on anti-Communist view points, as well as how to think logically and justify reasoning with facts.

Rush’s Brother was born two years after Rush. Rush's brother was a very successful laywyer and worked at the family law firm. Later in life Reagan name Rush’s Brother as a US District Court Judge, and in 1992 was appointed to the Missouri Supreme Court.

The silent treatment, a form of bullying, was common place in Rush's high school years. In high school teasing, ridicule, and the silent treatment were part of daily life for Rush, and led to a number of adverse psychological consequences and behavior in his adult years such as, aggression toward the opposite sex, and depression resulting in drug use. Other noticeable effects visible on Rush, are paranoia, disruptive comportment, his ego needs to be the center of attention, refusing to share, inattentive, and take turns traits, was probably the reason for Rush’s four divorces.

Later on in life and to this day, Rush betrays America, and his father by purveying the contemporary views of Nixon and Reagan as patriots and great Americans, when in fact Nixon open the door to Communist China, by signing the first trade agreement with Communist China, and Reagan who signed multiple trade agreements with Communist China giving up our best technology, and giving Chinese products easy access to U.S. retail markets. Reagan tax cuts stimulated the 80s economy… don’t make me laugh. More like 2 Trillion Dollars borrowed from China and pumped into the U.S. Economy brought on the 80s economic boom …
