President Obama has been blamed for high unemployed, deficit, and not being patriotic.  Mostly by Republicans critical analysis of him …  I believe Republicans give the impression they are bullet proof (above criticism, condemnation, let's blame the democrats)  … However if you look back 50 yrs to the era of President Nixon you will see the real reason for a majority of our problems in 2011 (deficit, high-unemployment, devalued dollar) began under and were caused by Nixon.

Now let’s face it the Republicans have put forth some great presidents in the past Eisenhower a 10 Reagan a 10+, Bush I a 7 to 8 … but Republicans have tried also tired to pull the wool over are eyes on a few also like Herbert Hoover – Great Depression I, Bush II – Failure to Monitor Economic/Monetary Indicators resulted in Economic Chaos/Flash Crash, but the worst in the last 50 years by far, the one that caused today’s problems and permanent damage to the country is Richard Milhous Nixon … Still consider by some a great President and man … Even though he sealed our economic fate by decisions he made in 1970 ...

Why was Nixon elected?

America knew Richard Nixon or so they thought.  Nixon started in politics in 1945 in California, won a Congressional seat in the late 40’s, was Eisenhower’s VP from 52-59, ran for President against JFK in 1960, and Governor of California in 64.  He lost both.  Nixon to this day is the most photographed politician in U.S. history.

Nixon won his first term as President more out of necessity and by being the only candidate that made any sense to the Silent Majority. Nixon a familiar name had in 68 been on the political scene for decades since the late 1940s.  The Democrats in 68 had 4 parties in the Democrats Party in 68 Dixiecrats – Geo Wallace, Geo McGovern anti-war, Eugene McCarty another anti-war, Hubert Humphrey who got the Democratic Nomination with more or less same policies as JBL.

By the time of the 1968 presidential election rolled around, Americans looked at America and saw it’s cities in enveloped in smoke and flame with protests against the war and race everywhere.  And the assassinations RFK and MLK …

Plus our nation was tied down since the early 1960s in a war in Vietnam with no end in sight; economy chaos, respect for the rule of law at new lows plagued by unprecedented lawlessness; when our nation that was supposed to represent equality of opportunity for all was torn by unprecedented racial violence; plus many at that time considered the current President LBJ to be a pathological liar.

It was time for new leadership but not much to choice … The choices were A. Nixon or B. Hubert H. Humphrey considered too be a clone of LBJ or more of the same.

Nixon’s 4 Laws & Policies that Effect Us Today & Destroyed America …
- In 1971 Nixon signed into law the end of the gold standard, a bill which he endorsed. From that point on we had no control over the value of the U.S. dollar.  Gold no longer backed up our money. By March 1976, the U.S. Dollar's value was determined by free floating rates on the world currency exchange - money market. The dollar's value was no longer under direct U.S. control which resulted in giving the Federal Reserve more power in administering U.S. monetary policy. 
- In1970 OSHA (China has no OSHA) was created by and signed into law by President Richard Nixon. (Reference his State of the Union Address). OSHA tied the hands of all U.S. industries. OHSAs main goal (lofty goal but way over done) is to ensure that employers provide employees with an environment free from recognized hazards, such as exposure to toxic chemicals, excessive noise levels, mechanical dangers, heat or cold stress, or unsanitary conditions. 
- EPA (China has no EPA) - Environmental Protection Agency.   The EPA was proposed by President Nixon and signed into law by him in 1970. The EPA is responsible for setting and enforcing environmental laws.  Yet another law that tied the hands of our Fortune 1000 and most all U.S. industries. 
- Opened diplomatic relations with mainland China commonly referred to as Red China”. Nixon's 1972 China trip and talks, resulted in the introduction of low cost labor and products in the world market in direct competition with the American worker and U.S industrial base. Many experts believe Nixon Shock arrogance of ignorance is helping the spread of communism throughout the world and destroying our middle class.

In late 1973 Agnew was while under investigate on charges of extortion, tax fraud, bribery and conspiracy he resigned, right after he was formally charged in October 1973 with having accepted bribes while holding the office of Governor of Maryland, his previous position prior to becoming Vice President.

By accounts, the notoriously thin-skinned President Nixon was also resentful of the self-confident Agnew was so popular with so many Americans.  By 1970, Agnew was limited to seeing the president only during cabinet meetings or in the occasional and brief one-on-one, with Agnew given no opportunity to discuss much of anything of substance.

Oval Office tapes reveal that in 1971, Nixon and his chief of staff, Bob Haldeman, discussed their desire to have Agnew resign from office prior to the following year's campaign season. One plan to achieve this was to try to persuade conservative investors to purchase one of the television networks, and then invite Agnew to run it. 

In 1980, Agnew published a memoir in which he implied that Nixon and his Chief of Staff, Alexander Haig, had planned to assassinate him if he refused to resign the Vice Presidency, and that Haig told him to "go quietly…or else", the memoir's title.

After World War II and up until the mid 1970’s the U.S. lead the world in the manufacturer of products i.e. Consumer Electronics, TV’s,  Car’s, Tires, Steel, Home Appliances, Aerospace, Commercial Jet’s, Telecommunications, Computers, etc, and we sold our products to the world and our middle class was the envy of the world.

Republican President (1969–1974) Richard Nixon opened trade relations with China, Nixon created OSHA, EPA & Earth Day which destroyed American manufacturing, and the rest is history. The decline (downhill slide) of the U.S. started with Nixon. Nixon had qualities (anti-Christ like personality) that garnered trust, fascinating as a political figure, and world leader, very private personality of immense complexity and bordering on paranoid. He did  enormous damage to our country.

He kept saying "I am not a crook" yet he was the most self-centered, dishonest (Watergate Scandal), foul mouth (liked using 4 letter words in meetings with his political inner-circle), interpreted the world in terms of the himself, pig of a man and President we have ever had.

A genius at public relations and controlling his public image to look church going and family oriented . Claiming to be a Christian, but from his resignation & criminal record (literally), leaves one wondering if he ever had a serious conversation with God.

By the time he was forced to resign from office, he had sealed our fate as a nation. Role of the U.S. started to reverse thru trade agreements with China and other free trade agreements, resulting destruction of America’s middle class. China and other Asian countries now make everything we buy ... FYI - Nixon got his start/trained in Congress from 1947 - 1953.

Today, the U.S. is the number one consumer not the number one manufacturer, maker, seller of goods …

Congress was voted into office to spend their time and your money on the things you consider important or of interest to the betterment and/or welfare of the republic/U.S..  Congress is supposed to be protecting the U.S. and our interests. Congress however spends your money on their agenda, with their list of priorities. Most in Congress will have nothing to do with making the U.S better or stronger only increasing their own power and wealth.

Today only a few presidential candidates can be called true leaders Pallin and Trump.  These two talk about building American back into a leading world manufacturing force again.  Congress is loaded with Socialists and talks only of giving what we have left away to the world, and budget cutting benefits to U.S. Citizens. In today's world, Americans earn money by providing a service, making a product, and/or selling a product.  We pay our taxes, and use the remainder of what is left to take care of our family’s needs.  Americans entrust Congress with our money. The our tax money is given to Congress for safe keeping and bettering America. According to a promise made by Congress.  Social Security money should have gone into a lock box and only used for Social Security. Congress turns around and stabs us in the back.

Now Congress is saying the money is gone ? (More like Stolen ...). Congress says the money has been used.  There is no money to pay the SS benefits. So now they want to cut benefits. If a private business did that with an employee’s retirement fund, the owner of the business and people in charge of the business would go to jail.

Has the U.S. Congress left Earth/Reality ? Is Congress “Lost In Space” ?

Now a Little About 1960s Sci-Fi - Lost In Space
Lost in Space was a sci-fi TV series created by Irwin Allen, the king of disaster movies in the 1960's, and broadcast on CBS. The show ran for three seasons, with 82 episodes airing between 1965, and 1968.

This famous sci-fi phrase "Danger Will Robinson ... Danger" is best know for it's use on Lost in Space series, and was spoken by an actor doing the voice of the Robot in the series.  Despite the popularity of the phrase, it was only said in one show. This was during episode 11 of season 3 "The Deadliest of the Species".  The Robot 9 gave repeat warnings intermittently to Will Robinson and the other members of the Robinson family, the Jupiter 2 spaceship crew. Most of the series was film in 20th Century Fox Studios with extensive use of doll house size models for the spaceship.  CGI had not been invented yet.  Outdoor scenes were filmed in the High Desert of California at Trona Pinnacles Nat'l Park.
